Renat Baymukhametov has over 15 years of experience in dispute resolution in Russia, China, Hong Kong and Singapore and is listed as arbitrator in the rosters of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC), Hainan International Arbitration Court (HIAC), Guangzhou Arbitration Commission and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).

Mr Baymukhametov advises on foreign investment and corporate law in Russia and China and advises clients on incorporation of companies with a 100% foreign capital (WOFE), joint ventures, deal structuring, protection of foreign investments in China and Russia.

Mr Baymukhametov graduated with honors from the graduate and post-graduate programs of the Law Faculty (International Law) of Kazan State University, holds a degree from the Language Faculty of Kazan State University, he received a Master of Chinese law received from Peking University, a Master in Arbitration and Dispute Resolution and Master of Maritime Law from the City University of Hong Kong. Mr Baymukhametov is an advocate, qualified in Russia.

In 2017, Renat Baymukhametov was awarded the CIArb President’s Prize for Outstanding Achievements in Arbitration Award Writing.
Mr Baymukhametov is a member of the working group of the Russian Arbitration Association focused on judicial practice in China and Hong Kong SAR. He is the author of numerous publications on dispute resolution in China, a co-author of the book ‘Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards in Russia and Former USSR States (2019)’, China and Hong Kong focus: "Challenging the rulings of international arbitration on jurisdiction and Challenging Arbitral Awards".

Renat Baymukhametov is a FIDE Chess Master (FM).
