English Law Week meets Russian Law Week
Following the success of last year's 10th anniversary of the organisation of English/Russian Law Week, the Bar Council and the Law Society this year organised a special free-to-attend virtual bridging event, which encompassed issues of both Russian law and English law.

The partners for the event were the Russian Federal Chamber of Lawyers, the Moscow Chamber of Advocates, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Advocates, the Anglo-Russian Law Association, and the British Russian Law Association.

This year's event continued to celebrate the friendships, legal links and business between the two countries. Speakers from leading UK and Russian firms, institutions and corporations will give their perspective on the legal services market in both jurisdictions.
Roman Zykov took part in the dispute resolution panel discussion on the new LCIA Arbitration Rules, the impact of COVID-19 on arbitration, enforceability of arbitral awards issued after virtual hearings, and the impact of Russian Anti-Sanctions Law on foreign proceedings and recent Uralvagonzavod case in which Russian courts applied the Anti-Sanctions Law.
